The Tasmanian Ophthalmic Nursing Community is centred in Hobart, Burnie and Launceston, with nurses from around the State travelling to attend our Clinical Meetings. Representing around 17% of the AONAVIC Membership, we are a strong and supportive community that has wide representation across the subspecialty areas.
We provide 8 hours of clinical contact per year, over two events. With a local speaker presence, our members are actively involved with AONAVIC at Committee and National Council level, and continually help to inform practice. The Community and collegiality continues to grow and we are enthusiastic about the future. Currently, we are seeking Tasmanian based Members to assist with hosting and presenting at local clinical meetings and supporting our steps towards self-sustainability.
Details of clinical meetings for 2017 will be soon available, please our TAS Representative Nigel Chong via contact us (select TAS in the drop-down menu).
