We currently have approximately 80 members across Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and few on the border of NSW in a variety of Ophthalmic Nursing settings.
All the groups of AONA have now formed a national body to represent Ophthalmic nurses nationwide - National Co-ordination Committee (NCOC). This group regularly gets together via a teleconference to discuss issues of interest to all ophthalmic nurses across Australia. We are currently developing a National Competencies Framework and a National AONA newsletter.
We there fore urge members to tick the space on the membership form to be included on this database. It is done under the auspice of each state AONA. Members information is confidential and all information is managed by the state body in which a member is enrolled. Eg AONA (Vic) for Victorian members.
